In 1985, Joseph Zito and Chuck Norris came together to make INVASION USA in what can only be described as an extinction level event, as it rendered all action movies before it effectively extinct.
Okay, here's the plot (get ready for this one...). A guy named Mikhail Rostov comes to America and decides that he's going to invade the country by blowing up random things, like neighborhoods and school buses. He's mad because Chuck Norris once stopped him from blowing up someone with a rocket launcher (I think?). Rostov has like 150 guys storm a Florida beach and they just start taking shit over. On second thought, they could have probably just asked us nicely if they could have Florida. INVASION USA? More like Inconvenience USA.
Chuck Norris and his two Uzis come to the rescue because Florida doesn't have any type of police force (until the end, when like 35 tanks show up).
Up until 2007, this was the number 2 selling MGM video title of all time, behind GONE WITH THE WIND. Blow your mind? Not as much as the grenade launchers in the movie, which never seem to have to reload.
James Bruner wrote the screenplay. He actually wrote 5 different Chuck Norris scripts, and then waited 19 years to release a movie called HOLLYWOOD DOT COM...which no one aside from Bruner has ever seen.
I didn't think that words could really do this movie justice, so I made a cut of the film that is under 20 minutes long and only shows the best stuff. Try not to laugh too hard.
